I am a Clinical School Social Worker with Fresno Unified School District. I am currently working as the clinician for a new service within our district, FUSD Connect, that intentionally focuses on providing services to students who received multiple assessments and interventions on school campuses and in the community related to suicidal thoughts and behaviors. The service is new to our area and hopes to reduce the recidivism rate of students with repeat assessments and evaluations by providing intensive, short-term services to assist with the transition back to school following a crisis. Prior to this role I have worked in intensive services such as TBS (Therapeutic Behavioral Services), inpatient psychiatric health facilities, and intensive day treatment programs for youth identified as "Emotionally Disturbed". I enjoy working with students and families and helping them to develop new skills and utilize the unique strengths they already possess to tackle life's obstacles.
