Peer Mediation empowers students to solve problems. It is a Restorative Justice tool because when students mediate conflicts there are fewer student discipline referrals, including suspensions. Peer Mediation holds communities accountable and uses modeling to repair and strengthen relationships. Participants will learn to build a team of Peer Mediators, including identifying and training mediators. Participants will assess current school culture and the potential role of Peer Mediation in student outcomes.
