Teaching students social-emotional skills is recognized as a critical life skill. Self-regulation is the ability to manage one’s emotions and behavior in accordance with the demands of the situation; this includes being able to resist highly emotional reactions to upsetting events and to calm oneself down when upset. Attendants of this presentation will learn tools to help facilitate self-regulation that can be implemented in any classroom.
