Participants will gain practical skills to form consistent and collaborative relationships with African American caregivers of children with emotional impairments who attend urban alternative school settings. They will learn of experiences of alternative school setting engagement of African American caregivers of emotionally impaired children and connect how their engagement strategies with the caregiver can impact a child's social and emotional well-being.
