Research affirms the developmental necessity of unstructured play in the lives of children for physical and social-emotional development, creativity, problem-solving, communication, risk-taking and resilience. The pandemic offered further proof of the urgent need for play as a cornerstone of children's wellness. In this session, participants will understand how unstructured play connects to their schools' wellness and trauma-informed practices, and will come away with a toolkit for how to implement Play Days in their communities.
