Participants will understand the connection between social-emotional learning, leadership, and bias.
Participants will understand how bias impacts the experiences of Black and Latinx girls in school.
Participants will leave with activities and lessons to implement healing-centered approaches in their work with youth.

Using data from our recent research, the Ready to Lead report, we'll examine how social-emotional learning programs that should be supporting our students' mental health and wellness can lead to negative outcomes when we don't use an equity lens. How can we shift our social-emotional learning practices to acknowledge and interrupt social toxicities like racism and sexism and move towards healing-centered engagement?
