Dr. Parker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 25 years of experience in the field of mental health. Her current work is focused on inclusion, equal access, and mental wellness for historically marginalized populations. Sheri has experience in the development of curriculum and training of mental health and diversity programs. She also provides mentoring, coaching, and professional consultation for individuals and groups. Sheri is a contributing author to the book, The Good, The Bad, and the Doctoral Degree.
Dr. Parker has been providing social work services to schools since 2016 and has provided various trainings to teachers, administrators, students and parents in the area of mental health. She is an advocate for equitable educational opportunities and mental health services for all students. Sheri currently works for the Val Verde Unified School District. Prior to providing school-based services Sheri worked as a supervisor for Liberty Healthcare Corporation, helping to redesign mental health service delivery in the San Bernardino County jails. She also served as a Mental Health Services Administrator for Riverside University Health Systems-Behavioral Health, where she helped to expand mental health services for the County’s re-entry program, as well as the County’s CalWORKs participants. A native of San Diego, Dr. Parker received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego; her Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University, and her Doctor of Social Work Degree from the University of Southern California.
