Kristene Smith is an award-winning author and communications executive with over twenty years’ experience in brand strategy as owner of an award-winning communications consultancy, which has largely focused on mental health during the past eight years. She has led successful campaigns in mental health, independent living, government, education, entertainment, and other sectors. Her nonprofit venture, Mental Health California™, is her signature community project considering she has an older sibling with mental health challenges. She is a member of the Behavioral Health Subcommittee of the California Future Health Workforce Commission and is nationally-certified to teach Mental Health First Aid™.
