For 75 years, Kaiser Permanente has been committed to shaping the future of health and health care — and helping our members, patients, and communities experience more healthy years. We are recognized as one of America’s leading health care providers and not-for-profit health plans. That means not only delivering great health care but also creating communities where people can be healthy in all the places they live, learn, work, and play. This is especially important in schools, where better health boosts educational success and educational success leads to better lifelong health.
Through Thriving Schools, we bring together Kaiser Permanente’s extensive health management expertise and our partnerships with educational institutions and organizations working on behalf of school health to support schools in becoming a beacon of health in their community. We take an integrated approach to school health, curating the best thinking and guidance on how to keep students, staff, teachers, and families healthy across four dimensions of health: physical health, mental health, social health and equity and access. Our Thriving Schools Integrated Assessment is key to this approach, providing actionable steps and credible resources to advance school health improvements.
